GENERAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
SHELL: The shell structure shall comprise of side walls, end walls and self draining roof.

SKID: The bunk house shall be mounted on a skid Arrangement made of two build – up I sections have in cross members of C- Section on all four sides of the skid and adequate supports members in between shall also be provided, suitable form section made of steel materials .

BASE FRAME /FLOOR SYSTEMS: The floor shall be made up of ISMC(channels) are tubes of suitable sizes and strength are used to cased the floor grid of size 600mmx600mm. the floor is 200mm above ground level and is covered with 18mm thick grade marine Ply board(IS:2202 1991) or cement fiber board finally for floor vinyl of 1.5mm thick is provided for the neat finish.

SIDE WALS AND END WALLS: Side walls and end walls shall be made up of insulate panels manufactured using both side 0.63mm thick GI sheet conforming to IS: 277-1992 with 75mm EPNS (Expanded/polystyrene core having bulk density of 20kg/Cmtr. In between GI sheet. These are waterproof, -termite, heat and fire resistant and comfortable in extreme hot and cold climate.

ROOF: Roof shall be made up of insulate panels manufactured using both side 0.63mm thick GI sheet conforming to IS: 277-1992 with 75mm EPNS(Expanded/polystyrene core having bulk density of 20kg/Cmtr. SURFACE TREATMENT AND PAINTING: The surface preparation of all fabricated steel components shall be done by giving it a coat of red Oxide and black enamel reputed make. Necessary marking/ logos shall be provided as per the instruction of BHEL.

INSULATION: Average 75mmthick thermal insulation will be provided with EPSN(Expanded polystyrene having bulk density of 20kg/Cmtr.

INNER PANELLING: The paneling of the side walls and end walls hall be duly painted with oil bound distemper from inside and will be duly textured coated fro out side making the walls waterproof and weather proof. The roof panels will be layered with fiber glass sheet making it completely waterproof.

DOORS: One Flush shall be provided door at the main entry of the bunk house shall be provided in the desired location. The overall dimension of the main entry door shall be 2135x915mm (H x W). The peripheral edges of the door shall be provided with rubber seal to prevent ingress of water and dust. The door panel shall be outward opening type with single leaf closing panel. The door shall be provided with manually operating type locking arrangements from both internal and external side.

Windows: The Aluminum sliding windows with grill shall be provided in the desired location having overall dimensions 915x915mm (H x W). Stainless Steel fly-proof mesh in suitable frame work shall also be provided in the windows. The windows shall be provided with rain-shed made.

Steps/stairs:Fabricated steel steps of detachable type having two/three treads shall be provided in each bunk house for getting inside at main entry door.

Electricals: PVC insulated copper wire of ISI mark shall be used for the wiring. This wiring shall be done in pvc conduits. As a measure of safety, continuous copper earth wire shall be provided as necessary. In addition, two nos. each of 15amps. And 5amps 3pin sockets shall be provided. In addition to this the container will be provided with3 nos. tube light (2ftx40watts-brand Philips). Also two wall mounted fans 16" dia make Crompton. All electrical points & switches shall be of Anchor or equivalent make. Necessary circuit breakers i.e. MCB & ELCB shall be provided. Junction Box shall be provided out side on the bunk house for telephone connections with suitable connection points inside the bunk house.

handling and transportation: Necessary arrangement shall be provided at top four corners for safe and easy lifting and transportation of the bunkhouse.
